But Apple is a closed platform. For the business world if you want to
run OSX you can't pick you vendor, which means there is very little
competition, and Apple can charge you want it wants.

Dell, IBM, HP can ALWAYS under cut Apple on costs. From a business
perspective it wouldn't make sense for MS to do this. Just look at
networking. When did Apple have TCP/IP integrated in the OS?

I still don't get how the future is the consumer. If the future is the
consumer they Apple needs to offer a consumer level desktop, they need
to let consumers purchase the OS and install it where they want.
