You're using the exact same arguments as was used by the chickenhawks for 
Vietnam. Is it honouring the dead by wasting more lives on a stupid conflict 
that was easily avoided. It is honouring the current wounded soldiers by 
providing them with minimal care and in some cases horrendous living conditions?

If you're going to honour the dead in this case, take good care of those whose 
lives are shattered by the conflict. It seems to me that the US (both the 
administration and the military) has forgotten everything it learned in 
previous conflicts. Either forgotten or deliberately ignored those lessons.
