I'm sorry to burst people's bubbles, because it is certainly a cool desktop experiment, but don't count on this ever generating an appreciable amount of commercially usable power. The mechanics are either insufficient or all wrong just about any way you slice it.
Gotta run and get Mike from school right now, but real quick: * Noise level at any size big enough to generate anything of importance would be unbearable. * Massively inefficient conversion of work to energy. * Very high breakage rate due to stress and strain (think paper clip). * Can't stand up to anything more than a relatively gentle breeze.
