Picture a paper towel roll along the top of the roof line. Unfortunately, they are not as efficient as the one below. (due to lack of clearance, inability to turn directly into the wind, and engineering) I am hoping that a combination of appliance efficiency, passive solar, active solar, wind, geothermal ground loop, and propane instant hot water will get my new house powered, heated and cooled most of the way. about 25% of my building estimates are for this.
