That is an extremely cool idea, indeed. Cheap and simple to manufacture. Capable of producing small but consistent power from even a gentle breeze. Intriguing solution for small scale generation in poor countries. One thing I especially like is the low cost of components. Anything worth more than $5 is going to get stolen in a place as poor and f-ed up as Haiti.
