I think you can sue for harassment, tortious interference, and some
others I can't remember but an attorney will know ;-)

When shit like this happens I always sue just for principle and I've
never lost even when I was blatantly wrong.  One example was when we
broke my Grandmother's lease so that she could move closer to us as
she was having some serious health issues.

We explained the situation to the leasing company and offered to pay
for 2 months to give them an opportunity to fix it up and rent it -
she'd been there for over 10 years (plus some other stuff).  They were
asses about it refusing to flex and so we said we were moving anyway
and they'd get nothing.

They tried to sue.  We had a legal aid lawyer explain that suing an 85
year old widow would not engender sympathy from any court and that if
they persisted we would counter sue and not in small claims court.

We never heard back.  FIGHT THE MAN!
