I would think it couldn't be a majority simply because of the cost involved... it's not a cheap procedure! Honestly I think a good number of people would just get rid of the cat before they pay for it. In a lot of cases they've probably ALREADY paid to fix/replace items destroyed and my guess is there's a "no good money after bad" mentality going on in a lot of cases. I know that many people consider pets "pert of the family" but I'm not sure if that's as common as some people would like to think. I know it probably seems backward but a cat that's gotten declawed has already been shown a level of dedication I don't think a lot of cat owners actually have.
