Well I finally got some satisfaction using tunneling over SSH! I can set that up for now, forwarding port 80, 1433, 3389 and the like. Eventually I'm going to come up with a better solution but for now this one works! For the record, Verizon is still saying that it's got something to do with the settings of my router. I'm leaving them at the end of the month so there's no more reason for me to waste my time with them. Thanks to everyone for the help!
