Well, here's where BioD is a dead end: if you can't grow enough oil
making crops - or it sucks up food crop land - then it is a dead end.
(that's why I like jatropha - it could solve world poverty AND solve
an energy problem.  maybe.)

The reason I've never liked efficient systems as a solution to
anything is because they always simply treat a problem rather than
solve a root cause.  But - here's where than gut instinct fails: if
you can get efficiency within the parameters of production then you
essentially have solved the problem.
