Also the regenerative braking is a new application. In Texas, we have a ton of windmills producing electricity. In areas around rivers we can get hydroelectric. These are both renewable sources of energy. There are other cleaner ways of generating power than burning gasoline. So, if you can power a car with these sources, why not? > Now, for boats - especially bluewater cruiser sailboats - there's all > kinds of great uses of hybrid technology and solar: > http://www.cata-lagoon.com/420_pres_uk.php > > This guy is just using cutting edge Gennies and electric motors: > http://electrosail.com/ > > You can find the gensets, motors, and doo-dads here: > http://www.ossapowerlite.com/ > > Course if you really want to kick some ass in a sailboat, then the > only real way to go is Gunboat (check out the video): > http://gunboat.com/gunboat_flash.html > > So there are plenty of people kicking some electric ass where it's got > some real impact, but we need to use cars to drive a renewable energy > solution - not dilute the need with palliatives. > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:260518 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
