If you don't want to be involved, you can say "no" and be done with it.
One of the things that pains me is how often I see friends get dragged
into things they don't want to do just because it's family (or even
extended family) that's asking for the favors. You do have a voice and
a choice in the matter. Saying there's "no getting out of it" is a
cheap cop-out when you don't want to make a hard decision or to avoid
some unpleasantry.

Don't take it personally, as I don't know your situation with them, but
in my experience people with this attitude just need a kick in the arse
to realize that, YES, you DO have a say in the matter.

Given all that, I second your feelings on the drop-ship businesses.
I've looked into several over the years and found that you'll end up
competing with 400 other sites selling the same crap with razor-thin
margins. The only way to succeed is to get large numbers of orders, and
that takes a lot of work in marketing, providing outstanding customer
service, and following up on sales with direct marketing to target past
customers and make them repeat buyers.

Unless they're planning to get in on the ground level of some new
products where they have little competition and can make a decent profit
per unit, I wouldn't waste my time.

Just my $0.02.
