As for Mr Environment, his record has a nice big blemish.  A mine that
Al Gore owns in his home state of Tennessee has been cited several times
by the EPA for polluting the nearby river.  I'll have to find all the
details, but it is worth looking into.

introduced the legislation that created (not invented) part of the
Internet.

I cannot read this quote any other way.  "During my service in the

States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

The rest of the quote claims to have done much for businesses and the
environment.  I'm not familiar with his full legislative record, but he
has
done much for the environment.  I'm not sure about businesses.  Maybe he
really helped those located in Tennessee.

I can't help but remember that the vast majority of the technologies of
the
Internet were created before 1977.
