re: "a jew" - I mis-spoke, meant to say that Orthodoxy in Israel doesn't
recognize Reform conversions or marriages, I've heard, which means as a
Reform I'm "less" of a Jew. Didn't mean it personally/individually, good
catch! BTW my mother and her maternal line were all "officially" Jewish
although my mother was only "culturally" not religiously. We talked about 4
sects within Judaism - Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and Gastronomic.
