Bill Ayers made himself an enemy of the United States, just like Tim McVeigh
made himself an enemy of the United States- through violence as a means of
political action. By definition, an act of violence against the government
is anti-American. We have the right to protest, the right to assembly, the
right to ask for a redress of grievances to the government. We don't use
violence against each other to advance our political agendas. But Bill Ayers
chose voilence. His choice. Millions of Americans protested against Vietnam
without resorting to violence. Not Bill Ayers.

Wright is anti-American nut and so potlically toxic that Obama disowned
everything about him. That was Obama's decision, no one else's.

So we go back to the original question- were these associations based on
shared beliefs and friendship, or on political ambition?
