Your not in a position of power or authority where people listen to you so it sounds like BC. On the other hand, any leader is responsible for the actions of those who are following his orders. If the orders come from one of his subordinates, then he may be less liable, but he should know what's going on. If a religious organization or any organization, tells their people to do something and the people do it, then the organization bears responsibility. If the organization speaks in the name of someone else, then that someone else had better do something to set them right. We prosecuted the Nazis who pulled the triggers AND those who gave the commands. In no place have I said that those performing the actions are exempt. I simply said that those who told them what actions to take bear (beer?) responsibility. (side question, which beer is it?)
>And to take this even more away from religion - it's absolute bull crap >to say that if I ask you to kill someone, and you do, it's my fault. >Unless we are talking about children here, at the end of the day, no one >is responsible for your actions but you. It may be wrong for me to ask >you to kill someone, but if you pull the trigger, you are the murderer, >not I. Shoot, didn't we (as a world) say this excuse wasn't satisfactory >for the Nazis? (ie, 'I was just following orders.'?) > >-rc > > ______________________________________________________________________ This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com.
