Yah know, I was a daughter. My dad never threatened any guys. He was a goof and embarrassing and insisted all dates come in to meet him. But, he was never threatening to any of them. But, I did know in no uncertain terms that if I screwed up, the first thing to go would be my car, and my butt would be grounded until the next century. Yep, the onus was all on me. Puts the responsibility smack dab where it should be. You can be sure I wasn't screwing around with the questionable guys.
I plan to teach my son to be good to women, and if he screws up, you can bet he's gonna get grounded, too. No violence necessary.
