You gotta understand, though, Jerry; there's this whole weirdo talk-radio pseudo-world that exists that is many people's only connection to reality. It's as if the World in The Watchman were on radio and the people who listen think it's actually what's going on. The genius of it is that a media connection has been made between it and Fox News and web sites. So people can completely live in this alterno-reality ... feeding off of each other's narratives and growing them. Then, one day, you or I get a glimpse of it and can do nothing but go slack-jawed at the unreality. But it's kinda of like a zoo: you just have to peer in and quietly watch them in their own habitat.
