That is why I flipped on this. I heard this EXACT SAME sentence from 5 people last night.
And I asked them if they really meant it, and why. And none could back it up. And that kind of "repeat stuff you haven't thought through" is probably the thing that makes me most angry with my fellow humans. Including myself.
