LOL!  I assure you bicyclists are VERY Aware of their surroundings when on a
busy road with traffic squeezing by at 40 mph.  Its the drivers who aren't
aware.

But its not the BIKE thats the danger, its the motorists not seeing the
bikes that is the danger.

The bike doesn't a) do damage to the environment b) do damage to the road,
therefore it shouldn't have to pay the way a vehicle does, IMO.
