Now that is an interesting line.  Are these the same poor who have been
getting welfare for the same amount of time?

If welfare worked, wouldn't it put itself out of business?

Anyway, there are plenty of success stories of people rising up out of the
ghettos.  Sonia Sotomayor and Ben Carson come to mind, not to mention a lot
of my former students who grown up to get degrees and and good jobs.
