Oh yeah, and what a perfect target. Better than the Super Bowl. Hell- I think we should be using lasers and land-mines and stuff around these big walls we're building, too. I've heard we're using Predators and whatnot already (flying death drones patrolling our borders-- awesome! I can't wait till we're using stuff like that to protect our cities, too... I fucking *love* "the eye in the sky" idea!-- "We're watching you!" is /such/ a cool slogan.), but there's just something about landmines... lasers... heck, maybe some of those "Big Dog" robots... that'd scare the shit outta the bad guys! Remember RoboCop? That was a bad-ass version of the future... remember the directives? "Serve the public trust, protect the innocent, uphold the law."? Those are some swell directives. How can you go wrong with directives like that? But I digress. I too, am all freaked out and scared about being attacked by non-native terrorists (the locals are like, passe these days). I live my life totally different than before nine double-one. I feel safer knowing my "big brother" -- if you will -- is keeping me, you know, safe. I had to give up some stuff, but, like, which would you prefer? Stuff or safety? I go with safety every time. You should see my house. Bars on the windows, bars on the doors. Some joke about "is that to keep them out or keep you in?", and I laugh. --Oh, and it's a Nerf house. None of our scissors have edges. Nary a point to be found 'round. The only way to get hurt is swallowing a chunk of safety material. It really lets me feel free, you know? Not having to worry? Not really having to think much? You know what I mean. Maybe I've just been lulled into a false sense of security? nah! I'm safe. -- Love alone can unite living beings so as to complete and fulfill them... for it alone joins them by what is deepest in themselves. All we need is to imagine our ability to love developing until it embraces the totality of men and the earth.
