Very likely we have no idea what will be the biggest factors in our children's quality of life. How about the collapse of the entitlement state? Social Security and Medicare are going to implode, it's only a matter of time. And what about overpopulation? Solar flares? Terrorism? Banking crises? Genetically modified foods? Radiation from personal electronics? We have no idea what things will look like fifty years from now, and anyone who says different is blowing smoke.
