"evidence that this is related to illegal immigration?"

I'll concede the point. It is illegal to ask students if they are illegal.
Of course their aren't enough ESL teachers so all of the students who can't
speak English are just main streamed.

"games? I am not sure what you are saying here."

Gangs. Fat finger problem. The only proof I have of these is the
newspaper, which lists arrests and sometimes lists immigrant status and the
word of school resource officers who talk to teachers about local gangs and
what they should be looking out for in terms of identifying members.

"Well, you can't have it both ways. New Mexico stopped requiring proof of
citizenship for driver's licenses so people could get insurance, and got
their hands smacked for it, If you want people to have insurance, they have
to be able to get a driver's license."

Sure you can. If they are here illegally, send them back to their country
of origin.

"What about it? I am in California in an agricultural town that probably has
all kinds of illegals. I don't see your point."

Not surprised. I should have laid it out in more detail. Illegal
immigrants, unlike those who are legally admitted, do not submit to medical
screening in order to assure that they are not inflected with contagious
diseases. The rapidly growing population of illegal aliens also set off a
resurgence of contagious diseases that had been nearly eradicated in the
USA.

"Your point?"

Again, I should have laid it out more plainly. There is no reason for the
United States to treat illegal immigrants from Mexico than they treat
illegal immigrants.

I notice you didn't bring up the argument about hospital closing in CA.
