I've only been in one rear-ending A VolksWagen Golf GTi ran into the back of me as I was turning right - he was doing 50 in a 30 zone - dented the back of my car but really messed up the front of his (dent in the bonet was upto half way towards the wind-shield) Shows how "crumple zones" work on small cars <g> Apparently his car was written off - mine was a few hundred to repair...
