Absolutely. It wouldn't be much of a historical reenactment if you left out a group just because they were particularly nasty. If that's distasteful maybe we shouldn't have reenactments of that era at all, but if you're going to do them then they should be accurate. >I have no problem if the guy's into military history. I have no problems with him wanting to play a german soldier from WW2. There are quite a few Wehrmacht groups that are pretty good, but an SS unit? That is extreme. When I was in college I knew who always auditioned for the parts of the 'bad guys' in the theatre department plays. He was one of the nicest guys I knew but he loved playing the guy that everyone hated.
