So if reenacting a battle that this particular SS unti took part in,
your suggestion would be to just leave them out? That wreaks of
revisionist history.

Most people who take part in military reenactments are simply going
through the motions of soldiers from certain battles, dressed as those
soldiers would have been dressed. Maybe we should also condemn every
person who ever portrayed a Confederate soldier in Civil War
reenactments?

I this guy was a Democrat, the Republicans would be the ones pitching
a fit and the Democrats would be defending him. Typical politics.
