Larry - there are groups that reenact the same battles annually - The battle of the Bulge, Iwo Jima, The invasion at Normandy, Operatio Market Garden, etc. Should we not allow anyone to portray a German or Japanese soldier more than once in these annual events?
Once again, are you saying that when trying to portray a historical event, we should not include anyone who was particularly nasty? Imagine a World War II movie that simply omitted Hitler because he was a bad guy. The people who organize these events strive for historical accuracy, something I would like to think you would appreciate.
