If it were one event, then I'd agree with you, but from teh oweb sites and the reports this is a long term thing. I also watched an interview with the congressperson about this. He never really answered the question regarding the Nazism, just kept reiterating the historical education aspects of it. In other words he kept dodging the question.
That said from the photographs provided in many of the news sites that discussed this, he had a pretty accurate 5th Panzer SS division uniform. That sort of detail is not cheap. He could have joined several other wehrmach reenactor groups that do not use the SS as their basis. So he knew exactly what he was doing and why. As I said elsewhere, I do not care if he's a member of the democratic party, the republicans, greens, libertarians, greens or the all night party, this is inappropriate behavior for a congressional representative.
