Because I can't eat any meat that is slaughtered that way. That meat would 
not be kosher. Therefore, you are forcing me to stop eating meat or move away.

And there are certain mitzvahs (Jewish commandments) which require meat, 
such as the festive meals on Shabbos.

You say it's inhumane; it is the way the Torah has told me to live.
