The sales tax revenue model is basically unchanged. These states are simply trying to collect from online retailers what they have always collected from regular retailers. Naturally the online retailers who aren't paying the tax are resistant because it gives them an advantage - 8.5% in California - over those who do collect. Personally, I think a national sales tax on everything but food, medicine and services to replace the current income tax system would solve a bunch of problems - and would be collectible across the board from all retail sales. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/message.cfm/messageid:339741 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-community/unsubscribe.cfm
