When he has a history of making racist remarks...I think it is safe to make that judgment. There is nothing wrong with making a judgment in regards to someone's character when they make repeated remarks. If this was a one off, then I would agree with you.

We're talking about a man who has a long, long history of incredibly hateful and ugly speech and at some point you need to stop pretending that each action takes place in isolation and that each must be condemned separately and instead stand up and say "This *man* is not ok". You may call that prejudicial, I call it standing up against hate. Or, as Rush would put it, calling a Spade a Spade.
