The facts are that Poverty levels AFTER Welfare are lower than those before
welfare.

So welfare is working to reduce Poverty, which was part of its goal.

One cannot argue to remove welfare without taking into account the millions
upon millions of people that benefit from the service.
I find this type of speech and reasoning to be elitist, and doesn't take
into account the disadvantaged in all our societies.

Can a system be refined? Of course it can...but refining does not involve
abolishing.
