but Al Qaeda is only the transliteration of the Arabic 
name into English <g>.

The leader of Libya was once asked by a Western 
journalist whether his name should be spelled with a K, 
a G, or a Q. He replied that its spelling in English was 
utterly irrelevant, only the spelling in Arabic mattered.
