In this country the Popular vote does not get you in office.

The Constitution is pretty clear on that.

Bush was not appointed by any court. The court made a ruling on the law.
There are other problems with disenfranchised voters that are a real and
should be addressed. But of the votes cast it was clear that the
Electors for GW got the votes. Not the ones for Gore.
