Yes, we own the home - bought it about 6 years ago. And, as to whether it
could harm the baby.... There's no definitive answer. It's not a highly
toxic substance, though it is a carcinogen. As it stands, if I stay out of
the backyard, I shouldn't be exposed, as it's in the soil, not the air.
There's the _possibility_ that remediation could pose further risks, though
it's not for certain. (In other words, it's possible that it could release
some vapors. Of course, the remediation company says no way.)
