>>>While Liberals (and I don't mean the Liberal Party) may translation to canadianspeak "While liberals (and I don't mean the Liberals)..."
Liberals = capital "L" means Liberal Party of (jurisdiction within context) I think conservatism is alive and well in Canada. But the party which traditionally stood behind conservative ideals is rebuilding, and the young upstart party is still building a national support base from its regional roots. As previously mentioned I think conservatism is manifested in governments of all ideologies in Canada. (I'd have to talk in more specific terms to be accurate, but I may not be talking about "American Conservatism", which might be considered extreme in Canada.) Traditionally "C"onservative refers to the Progressive Conservative Party which was decimated not too long ago. But they are starting to pick up the pieces and rebuild. >>Just seems like Larry is trying to bend his words, and restate what they >>guy said to fit his argument. not how I see it at all. but reverse the roles and answer the same question. >>sweep the conservative parties under the rug as Larry wishes too. I'm not sure Larry expressed that intent. He was just trying to relay information. His facts are not wrong. It's secret Candian speak. He said Liberals, but it was secret code for the Liberal Party. So, what are the codes for the other "Liberal" parties in Canada. Does Ultra-Liberal mean the New Democratic Party? Just seems like Larry is trying to bend his words, and restate what they guy said to fit his argument. I did some checking and there are about 37 different Federtal political parties in Canada. It seems as though there are several Conservative parties there...I nosed around a few websites. I liked the Christian Heritage party site....of course the Marijuana party website and Marxist-Leninist Party website were interesting in their own right. There is even a Libertarian party in Canada. While Liberals (and I don't mean the Liberal Party) may be the majority in Canada, I don't think that you can just sweep the conservative parties under the rug as Larry wishes too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry C.
