You should NOT confront this person.  If you have not been able to resolve 
this with your supervisor, you should take it to your HR department.  The 
legal system has become increasingly intolerant of abusive behavior in the 
workplace.

You must memorialize every aspect of this to preserve your rights.  Note 
dates and times along with witnesses. If possible, consult an attorney who 
specializes in this area. If you do see an attorney, sooner is better.
