I get it now and again. I've found that when it does hit, changing my
appearance goes far in removing it. A different looking me is a new me and a
me that is not depressed. I know it sounds strange, but it works.
What you really have to do is dig down into why your depressed and try to
address it. My depressions tend to hit when things I do are taken for
granted or my 'perfect' plans don't/can't get done.
You can tell its bad when you can't move to do anything. You don't want to
code, you don't want to play, you don't want to talk to us here. When you
don't feel like you have the energy or desire to connect with your friends
and support network, it's bad.
