I am with you Jeffry, even if you spell your name funny.

I really would prefer not to exchange gifts with mike even, it would be nice to buy something together or maybe take a vacation together.  We have skipped gifts several years but this year he wanted to get me a video game system,  so i agreed to exchange gifts.

And then there is his entire family to buy for.  I find that irritating.  They give me hanukah presents on christmas, or stupid christmas ornaments.  I dont' get either logic - hanukah gifts are given at hanukah  and its rather impolite to give me christmas decorations.

In any case, i did enjoy spending time with mikes nephews, niece and grand-nephew!

And eating GREAT turkey

If you havent' brined a turkey before, I hghly recommend it.

The vote is out on whether I'm a humbug or a grinch.

I don't exchange gifts w/ anyone any more, so my Christmas haul was
  nothing.
My siblings and I were brought up putting emphasis on the time we spent
together as opposed to gifts.  We cut out gift exchange a few years
ago.  We're all at a self-sufficient point.  Anything that lies in the
"affordable" price range we go out and buy.  Other things are so
specialized (Like Guitar Gear or computer equipment) that no one can pick
it out but me.  There are so few things on my "want" list under $500.

I did get to spend Christmas Eve w/ my parents and brother.  Christmas
day w/ my gf and her family.  It was all as relaxing as spending time w/
family can be.  ( When are you going to get a real job; when are you going
to cut your hair, etc.. )
I bought myself a video camera last month.  That is my closest thing to a
  Christmas present I got.  :-)
