Shouldn't be much more than some swirly yucks really. Maybe a bit of black
from the rubber, but that should come off easy.
Man I really can't wait until the weather here improves so I can detail my
car.

Subject: RE: car question
I didn't say or imply that you were putting me down :D ... I was just
telling those that were interested and not scared of a little manual
labor that it can be done by a dedicated do-it-yourselfer.
Yeps to the dent puller! But they don't have to be done that way. They
can be hammered out from the inside if the panel comes off and you can
get it on a horse to hammer it smooth with the help of a body dolly.
This method is prefered because the end result is less bondo. :D My
mother was fab at this method (and not because she is my mom, but
because the local car dealerships preferred HER to work on their stuff,
rather than her ex-husband who had many more years in the biz than she
did) and always hammered first if she could. It was thought by some that
it was the "cheap" way out because it required less "man-hours" than
taking the vehicle apart and doing it the "right way" ... But that's
just individual's opinions.
Now if a person doesn't care about the finish on the outside, and you
just wanna pop out a dent so it's not so noticable, then the suction cup
method can be preferred. Without pictures of this dent Dana describes,
we could all be talking for no good reason, as it may be on a crease or
just better left alone <shrugs>
Cheers,
Erika

Wasn't putting you down.
You then realize that many dents are removed by drilling in the center,
inserting a :come-along" and then pulling it out. Then filling the hose
with
Solder or Bondo and refinishing as needed. :-)
