I don't really like the way it drives overall and it's a real hog for gas compared to the older Toyotas and Hondas I usually drive. (And I don't do collison on them because of their low blue book.)
It sounds like there may be some body expertise on this list, lol. I'll see if I can get some pictures. But specifically the dent is on a narrow strip of rear quarter panel that is between the rear window and the trunk. It is about three inches long and 1/4 of an inch deep at the deepest point, and looks like something round hit it at low speed from the rear at a slight angle. I am thinking that a bad driver was backing an SUV out of a parking space behind me in a parking lot. The metal there is flat enough, no curves (that came with the vehicle) :) and as I mentioned, the paint is not scraped at all.
It isn't all that noticeable so I guess another option is ignoring it and just accepting that when I sell the Jeep I may get somewhat less than I paid for it. I'd like more information to kick around. I am not someone who tinkers for fun, but on the other hand I'd rather do minor repairs myself than deal with mechanics. And I don't think I have ever had any body damage estimate for less than $500.
