The server load averages less than 1.0 daily and I've never seen it go above 3
or 4 and only then for a minute or two at a time. Looking at cpu/memory history
in cpanel doesn't show anything terribly high either. Server has run perfectly
for 18 months with about 50-70 low-traffic sites.

When the problem occurs every 5-10 minutes, all CFM pages on all sites seem to
hang. Click on any link on any cfm site and the old page just sits there as if
the browser is waiting for an initial response from apache. Ping the server at
the same time and it returns fine. Browse any htm, php, etc site on the server
at the same time and pages snap right up. Looking at cfstat while this is
happening shows REQS RUN'G is no longer at 0, but is climbing each time someone
requests a cfm template. After about 10-20 seconds, REQS RUN'G drops to 0 and
all waiting cfm templates load on the spot.

Problem was at its worst about a week ago, and I upgraded to cf 7.0.1 from
7.0.0. This TOTALLY fixed the problem for about 5 days - it was happening every
few minutes and hanging for as long as 60 seconds, and as soon as I upgraded CF
it completely solved the problem. Now it's starting again, slowly, for 10-20
seconds at a time maybe, every 5-10 minutes.

I know every little about the server-side of things, but all my tests seem to
point to CF I think (but again, I'm not sure)? Please let me know if there's
any particular information that I can post here that would be helpful. Thanks!
