This isn't necessary. I'm probably never going to be proficient with Flash, but I can work with a Flash developer right now to build the back-end for a Flash front-end. And this strengthens my original point, I think - most web developers (most developers, in any category, I imagine) aren't especially good at designing usable interfaces.
