lol, this is getting funny.. even 4 u dave.

"But you said you threw it away. So what are you doing to run IE 7? You
couldn't even run IE7 successfully in Vista? Wow, it really must suck, then. I
regret doubting you for a second."

you know i am sorry I did initially run crap cleaner to get all the crap of it
and to clean it, so i was using "apps", im so sorry for thconfusion mr watts, i
will write it in crayon next time.

I run ie7 now on xp and found a program that installs other version or the
previous crap ie's on there as well.... does that satisfy you your heiness?

"When you do something on your Mac that requires administrative credentials, it
doesn't automatically go ahead and do it, right? It asks you first."
Why yes it does, it will ask you for your admin password ONE F*CKING TIME, if i
recall correctly vista never asked for a password it just asked you to click on
yes or no, over & over & over again. Which is really good security. After I
bought vista I posted a video of it on here of me trying to run crap cleaner, I
had to answer yes 8 frickin times for it to run, every frickin time i ran it
and it never asked for my admin password just a dumbass popup that you clicked
yes or no to.

"And, you know, if UAC is too much of a pain for you to deal with, you can turn
it off. I think that's a terrible idea, but the option does exist."
well thats rather sad that you have to do it. I did however turn it off and
magically it turns itself right back on, kinda like how there firewall will do.

"And, if you're just running IE7, you wouldn't even see UAC prompts, because
browsing is an end-user activity."
Well unfortunately windows needs to be cleaned constantly and I do have to run
crap cleaner.

"For a Mac user who switched, like, over two years ago, you spend an inordinate
amount of time complaining about your Windows problems. But whatever floats
your boat, I guess."
Umm actually dave i dont see where i have been bitching about my "windows
problems" I was just agreeing with jenny & will that vista is a piece of crap
but you ran off itnot fantasy land with it and try to change the subject like
you do when you get backed up.

"Windows' crappy browser is a Windows app. So it appears that my assumption was
correct. "
oh gawd, dude that was just lame and you damn well know what the context was.

I run parallels because I have to, if you are gunna nitpick over it then fine
but the bottom line was this. I bought vista to be sure I was making my sites
properly and they were displaying correctly in ie and since at the time i
needed to run 2 differents ies to check I figured vista could be one and id buy
it instead of buying a 2nd xp license. And with the limited amount of time i
spent with it it proved worthless too me. I am not you dave watts i dont want
to spend anymore of my day then I have too on windows or tweaking it to be
"safe".

If i was a windows user and bought a mac only to test on then all I would do is
plug it in and go, with windows you cant do that and I dont want to spend all
the extra time setting the damn thing up.

But obviously its just me and no one else has had any problems with vista... I
guess thats why its in the "blow out" bin in a lot of stores already.
