I'm actually one of the *really* fortunate ones. When my VPS (which I currently maintain for a single client) went down on Sunday 10 days ago, I yelled immediately. I don't know whether mine was one of the first affected, or whether I just noticed it early. But I exchanged e-mails with Greg on Monday and Tuesday of that week, and everything except the CP has been back up for a week now.
I agree with other folks that we (or most of us, at least) knew what we were getting into when we signed up with Greg. And when he's not in the middle of a disaster, he does a great job. Whether he could have/should have prepared better for such a major upgrade -- well, probably.
