My understanding is that wddx is xml. One way I used it was to backup and move database tables. My company doesn't own a server, we are on a shared server, so I don't have SQL admin, and getting the hosting company to move tables costs money. So, i just easily made a script to save a select * query as a wddx file, and the rest is predictable.
Another use would be to quickly share data across cfm sites. Say you want to do something like killerapp.com, it would be easy with other cf sites. Where you send them search criteria, and they send back a wddx array of resulting products. >>> "Paul Giesenhagen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 02/13/02 01:26PM >>> Some may not like the way I use one implementation of WDDX, but it works really well with variable databases... Here is an article on an "other" way to use WDDX. http://www.quilldesign.com/developer/knowledge.cfm?mode=view&owner=209D 3EA7- 3585-4DF0-A2C0DE72865FF804 It's not for everyone, but it might perk some thoughts!
