> court, making her bluff or taking her to resturant for breakfast (j/k) It is You know what? I just thought of something. You actually could take her for lunch. Order something hot. You could then sit there and read newspaper or have a polite conversation about something else. Then you could let her watch you argue the point with the manager for about 3 minutes before agreeing with the manager's point openly (loud enough for her to hear it). Then you have something to talk about on the way back to the office. Here's the script: You say: "Excuse me, but I don't think I should have to pay for this food. It got cold while I was having my conversation." Manager says: "Well, did the food arrive at your table as you ordered it?" You say: "Umm... Well... Yes it did." Manager says: "Why didn't you eat it while it was hot?" You say: "Umm... I was busy." Manager says: "Well. I appreciate your feelings, but it really isn't my problem that you failed to make your complaint before you ate your food. Nor is it my problem that you chose to let it get cold while you were having a discussion." You say: "Well... I guess you are right. It really isn't your fault that so much time passed and caused my food to get cold. After all, I was able to eat it anyways." Then, when you leave the restaurant.... You say: "I sure made a fool of myself, didn't I?" She says: "Yes, you sure did. I would have never tried to argue your point. It really didn't have any merit." You say: "AHA!!!! Gotcha you silly customer!" Ok, so I am just kidding with the last line. Sue me. LOL Who knows? Perhaps she would recognize the scenario and pay you without you having to even ask again. Devilish plan, isn't it? hehehehe Dave ______________________________________________________________________ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
