Matt one last thing that has nothing at all to do with this debate. I don't know you, I have no idea if it's just because you are drinking, or if you even are drinking, but you are the most negative person I have seen in a long time. I have heard nothing but complaint after complaint, no matter the topic today. I have no idea who you are, you may be some "luminary" and I may be throwing my career away, but damnit man why do you even write CF? If it's so evil and horrible go write Java servlets, and don't even bother with the JSP in the middle. There all nice and close to the machine, and slow and time consuming and blah blah blah.
I have been doing stuff with CFMX for months. It is really cool. I think that it will be the catalyst that really brings CF to the front of the web app pack, at least on the presentation layer. Now I am sure plenty of people will still use Java and .Net stuff for the data and application layers, but the power and ease of use make CFMX unmatched now. CFCs, native XML, Web Services are awesome. Also how can you just sit back and make negative comments without trying to show the right way? You obviously have quite a bit of experience, instead of just putting ideas down when they show their face, wouldn't you be better served by educating and instructing? I'm sorry if maybe I come of a bit harsh, but damn man, what do you like? I'm one random no name developer, who probably couldn't fill your shoes if I had to, but I know this, I write better code because of FB, and because the people on those lists, and who write and maintain the core files, took the time to show me something better. If you know something better SHOW ME. If you want FB info, you want to learn it go to http://www.fusebox.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=learn.resourceList. We have, as a community, matured. There are plenty of papers, sample apps, and demonstrations available now. My 2 cents. And I am really going to pull back from this topic now. I have seen plenty of Fusebox. I have debated it on CFGURU as well as various other lists. I have debated it at conferences and user groups as well. We even had Nat come out to BACFUG to give a presentation on Fusebox 3. The effect? We all learned yet again why we aren't using Fusebox. -Matt > -----Original Message----- > From: Ken Wilson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Monday, April 29, 2002 8:20 PM > To: CF-Talk > Subject: RE: Fusebox (was: I like CFMX) > > Uh huh.
