Hi Claude

I'm not suggesting you learn Cobol.
I'd recommend learning the basics of all of the following
JavaScript
Java
Ruby
Python
PHP
Then pick one you feel is most natural to you and go with it, all of the
above require only a few hours each to learn the basics via online free
courses.

Learning any of the above will improve your coldfusion skills, even if
you're still working with CF in 10 years time, you will benefit greatly
from knowing another language.
Personally I recommend JavaScript/Node as odds are you're probably doing a
bit of JavaScript already and a lot of development work is now front end
JavaScript, so even if you stick with CF odds are that you will end up
writing front end JavaScript apps, learning backend JS will help your front
end JS etc
