Howdy,

I did as you suggested and still cannot get it to function. The diagnostics
continue to return 404 error. Because there is some interest on this list
concerning it, I decided to repost. If anyone wants me to take it off line
I will...just let me know.

Here is what we have.

CFMX 6.1 Ent
ArcIms 4.0.1
MS IIS

Attached in the web.xml file I adjusted in case you have time to look at it.

I was not sure where to copy the servlets from to put into the
WEB-INF/classes dir. When you said

3) Copy the servlet classes to Web-Inf\classes
4) And for having fun with the JavaConnector add the ArcIMS Java Connector
JARS to the Classpath in CFMX Admin.

And is #4 required...or are we OK without if we don't use the Java
Connector?

Thanks much,

Justin

Hi Justin,

ColdfusionMX Pro works fine with ArcIMS 4.01. Do the following:
1) Patch to 6.1
2) Add the following in web.xml in WEB-INF (just before the
<servlet-mapping> tag
 <servlet id="esri">
         <servlet-name>esri</servlet-name>
         <servlet-class>com.esri.esrimap.Esrimap</servlet-class>
      </servlet>
      <servlet-mapping id="ServletMapping_1">
          <servlet-name>esri</servlet-name>
          <url-pattern>/com.esri.esrimap.Esrimap</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
3) Copy the servlet classes to Web-Inf\classes
4) And for having fun with the JavaConnector add the ArcIMS Java Connector
JARS to the Classpath in CFMX Admin.

Although ESRI does not officially support JRUN this way - I have not had a
seconds problems - this works both on Linux Red Hat and NT 2000 and XP

Sincerely
Hardy Jonck
